As I always do at the end of a book we have been Gemming, I recommend you read the book again to cement the themes and the things we have learned together in your mind. I suggest you read back over Ephesians and link all the themes and details together. Review the overall structure of Ephesians in the light of the diagram I gave you when we looked at verses 1:9-10. Take the time to think it through in its entirety.
Then I suggest you take the time to read the next book we will Gem together. What will that be? What is the next focus of the Bible Gems? I have had many suggestions, from Genesis to Revelation literally. There are those of you who have suggested Genesis and there are those who have asked for Revelation. There are others too who have suggested a variety of other books. One that has been suggested by a number of people has been Philippians. Now we are not going to Gem that book although I must admit I am tempted as it is one of my favorite books. But I will resist the urge. We are going to tackle two books in series: first Luke and then Acts. I figured it is time for a another Gospel. I started with John but now will move on to one of the Synoptic Gospels. Luke is good one for you to read now, especially the early chapters with it being close to Christmas. I expect to learn lots of new things from Gemming Luke. Then we will follow it directly with Acts. Some regard Acts as New Testament History II; New Testament History I being Luke. Well let’s put them together and see what we we find out .
Have a good Christmas, one focused on the true meaning of Christmas and not obscured by all the commercial trappings.
Take time this Christmas to find the Christ, full of Grace and Peace, yes, and Grace & Truth too.
Put Christ back in CHRISTmas! Jesus is still the Reason for the Season.

Take time to ponder both Christmas and Easter as the bookends to your faith.
