Announcing the GOOD NEWS. The Gospel within the 5th Gospel. Some call it the Gospel in a Nutshell:
Oh you need it larger? Well ok then. Here it is below. Now it is ready for you to work on. Study this passage well. Pick it apart over the next few days. I will give you clues / pointers along the way but start off on your own. Make sense of this passage and try to plumb its depths. A good way to do that is to read it through and then try to write it out again in your own words.
“But now God has shown us a way to be made right with Him without keeping the requirements of the law, as was promised in the writings of Moses and the prophets long ago. We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are. For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, with undeserved kindness, declares that we are righteous. He did this through Christ Jesus when He freed us from the penalty for our sins. For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed His life, shedding His blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when He held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past, for He was looking ahead and including them in what He would do in this present time. God did this to demonstrate His righteousness, for He Himself is fair and just, and He declares sinners to be right in His sight when they believe in Jesus.”
Romans 3:21-26
According to William Tyndale Romans was the “Principal & most excellent portion of N. T.” He memorized it in Greek.
It is well worth a Christian’s while not only to memorize it word for word but also to occupy himself with it daily.

Now there is a challenge for you – Memorise these 6 verses from Romans.
We will continue tomorrow. I will give you more time to memorise and do the preparatory work by filling in a little tomorrow before we start on the passage in the following days.
Doubt wonders, “Have I done enough to go to heaven?” Grace answers, “No, you haven’t. But Jesus has on your behalf.”

Lord, give me grace to feel my need of grace, grace to ask for grace, grace to receive grace and, when grace is given, grace to use it.

appreciaing your deep devotion and generosity.
Pleased to inspire Alison. I trust you take the time to read what I have written in the Gems on Romans 3:21-26 and follow them through. Ask whatever you like on whatever may puzzle you. I trust you will also take up my challenge to memorise this passage – in English of course; not Greek like William Tyndale did.
