Justus Okoth, the Kenyan leader of Evangelism Outreach Africa Ministries, survived an assassination attempt on 2 April 2001. He has been showing the Jesus Film throughout Kenya for the past 10 years, and believes that it was supposed to be an act of revenge for the many people who have decided to become Christians after seeing the film. Three robbers, suspected to be militant Muslim Somalis, attempted to cut his throat, but the knives miraculously failed to cut. They were also unable to steal his car, because they could not disable the anti-theft system.
